HOUSE FAVORITE!
Our Sir Henry boot is quite a versatile boot that can be worn as a thigh boot, over the knee cuffed boot or a below the knee cuffed boot. These are great for costuming SCA, LARP, medieval weddings, ren weddings, Wicca, pirates, steampunk etc. Would you believe the photos are all the same boot? They are. For reference our model is just under 6 foot tall, is a fit/slender guy at 165 lbs and is wearing a size 10. As you can see there is plenty of room to accomodate larger guys. It is quickly becoming our client favorite because of comfort, durability, versatility and price value. These are suprisingly comfortable and are great for long days at the ren faire. This style is made of durable leather that will soften, stretch & conform to your body over time. The upgraded rear gusset enables to wearer to walk, lunge and move with ease. This style, does NOT have a zipper, which is more period appropriate. Toe is "slightly pointed" & less "rounded" than some of our other styles. Heel is only 1". Boots are leather lined at cuff for "cuffed" option, shaft is slightly padded/lined with nylon. Bottoms have extra durable rubber tread.
SIZING:
At this time, it only comes in black leather and medium width. (We regularly fit wider width guys with this boot up to a double EE & even a few EEE. (The wider width guys generally just go up a size & it works out well.) We believe & our client feedback is telling us that these boots do run a generous true to size. Thus, unlike our other men's styles you DON'T need to go up another size on this generous boot. Please buy the size you normally would wear in boots. The only reason you'd need to go up a size in this boot is if you wear a solid 1/2 size. Please check the measurements below to be sure this will work for your size calves, thigh, etc. If your not sure what size to get after reading the below example, please contact us for help.
Example:
If you generally wear a size 10 order a 10. If you generally wear a size 10, but sometimes an 10.5 you should go with the 10 as that's the size you generally wear. If you are a solid 10.5 and rarely wear a 10, only then should you go up to the 11.
Please note: We do offer the measurement of the boots although it is NOT the best way to fit your foot. Because your foot will change in arch, shape and size if you measure them standing as opposed to sitting ect., we highly recommend not using the sole length or width etc. Also, don't try to measure your own footwear for sole length because different styles of shoes have different "over hangs" ect. It simply is the least efficient way to fit yourself. Trust us, we've been doing this for several years now. Thus, the best way is to use the example above. However, if we don't include the measurements, people want them. Please do use the above example as your primary method of selecting your size and you'll be much more satisfied. Thank you.
